Letters to Littles {9 months}

Dear 9 month old BabyE,

This has been another month filled with delight about all that you are!  Your Daddy and I always have big silly grins on our faces at all of your cuteness. When we look back on these days, it won't be a romanticized vision. Each day with you is truly wonderful and fills us with joy. Yes, we are pretty much always tired. You are all GO!  It is well worth it though, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

For your first Easter we went on on a road trip to visit Nana and Papa. You loved watching all the bigger kids at the huge church Easter egg hunt.

This month you developed your pincer grip. You've been picking up every piece of lint and all of the cherry blossom petals that the dog brings in on her fur. It is really motivating me to keep things extra clean. You also got your third tooth. It's the one on the top left front. This came four full months after your first two came in.

One warm Friday evening, we took our dinner to the park for a picnic. We gave you a little bit of avocado off the salad because you kept grabbing at our bowls.  It was the first time we offered you solid foods.  I took a bite to show you it was ok to eat, and you put it right in your mouth.  You made the cutest requisite "yuck" face when you tasted it, but then you took another bite right away, so I guess you didn't hate it too much. I don't think you actually swallowed anything, it's all just for fun at this point anyway.

You

are

so

SOFT!

You really have the hang of playing Peek-a-boo now.  One day while you were chatting on Skype with Daddy to your Grandpa and Grandma, you started hiding and then peeking out all on your own. I loved that you were able to connect with your grandparents even though they're so far away and that they got to witness all the cuteness. It was so much fun to see you initiating play.

Your Nana and Papa came over for your first swimming lesson.  We had a fantastic visit with them. You even took two naps with Papa and let Nana and I shop. Getting you to sleep without nursing is completely unheard of, so we were seriously impressed and thankful! They love you so much, I wish they could see you more often.

We went to the doctor for your 9 month check up. The most exciting part as always was seeing how much bigger you have grown. You are now 24 pounds and 32 inches long! You have a perfect little ringlet on the top of your head that is all fluffy after your nap.

I love you little one,
Your Mama
